I'm playing around with the Type 3.2 demo and I really like the svg import and the drawing tools.
However, it'll be nice to have the possibility to display the glyph palette in the classic font editors grid layout, to see more glyphs at the same time (for instance it could be possible to allow the palette to resize horizontally too, with the glyphs arranging over multiple columns).

There are preview options currently being developed (the first of which, the glyph preview, has been added in the last release 3.2.020 for Windows). A full font preview (in the form similar to the 'classic' grid layout) and proofing options are intended to be added later this year.
For some reason, 'classic' font editors tend to employ a grid layout as the main screen, and the actual editing window as a secondary screen. The addition to Type 3.2 will not work quite like that, as the main screen in Type 3.2 will remain the editing window (which is designed to be more like other non-font editing graphics applications, eg InDesign, Illustrator etc, with the glyphs synonymous to 'pages' in a document).
So the intention will be to provide a way of previewing the entire font (which is currently lacking) rather than to copy the traditional font editor design.
