Hello; Can anyone suggest a good book on font design? I’m not asking for a degree level book, something for a beginner. Type 3.2 documentation’s section on True Type Features is tantalizing, Again is there a beginners guide as to what can be achieved with it. Answering questions like. Where is there a good place in the Unicode codepoints namespace to place the addition glyphs? Or is there a better way?For instance: is it possible to create an entirely new Open Type feature? Say inter-glyph glyphs, Content Subs seem to offer a way. Where one would define a substitution for all 676 alphabetic combinations a punctuation letter combination such that for each possible combination a ‘joining’ glyph could be created resulting in an attractive cursive script without having leading and trailing lines to join characters together.
