This is more of a technical question about the attributes of a glyph. What I mean by that is that when a font rendering engine process a sting of Unicode code points it clearly knows that some glyphs are to be understood are dirrerent from the latin letters: eg: some are puncuation, some are letters/numbers, some are control characters.
So to my question; Is it possible to mark a glyph as something other than a letter? eg: whitespace or puncuation, or diacritic?
