I'm making a font that consists mostly of ligatures. Because of this, most of the glyphs don't map to Unicode code points. I'm having trouble keeping track of which glyphs I've already added, and I can't change the order of glyphs after I create them so the glyph indices are not predictable either. It's hard to find the right glyph when I need to go back and edit one. I only have ~70 glyphs so far; I don't want to think about how confused I'll be when I have a few hundred glyphs.
If you could add a couple of features, it would make this much easier: - Search for a glyph in the glyph list by PostScript name - Get a warning when I use the same PostScript name twice. This could be when I save as .otf/.ttf or as soon as I use a duplicate name, either way would be helpful. A font validation tool to run from the menu bar would work too.
